Who are we?
In 1983, Chantal and Noël Brun, who ran the Taillade farm as sheep farmers, had the crazy idea of creating a naturist campsite from scratch in the heart of a Cantal where green tourism was still non-existent.
This project seemed utopian! It was necessary to convince the local elected officials, the banks and the local population. At the time, nobody had ever heard about naturism in the area. The mentalities, deeply rural, saw this project in a bad light and some feared to see "people landing naked" in the middle of Neuvegian. So much so that some elected representatives decided against the opening of the campsite.
Anyway, Chantal and Noël had made their decision. Thanks to their dynamism, they will manage to stir up mounds of earth for the creation of the campsite as well as to change mentalities.
In July 1983, the first campers arrived despite the unfinished work.
Since then, it's been a success! Dutch, French and Belgian campers are flocking in. No one in Neuveglia is thinking of asking for the campsite to be closed...
Today Rachel and Christophe manage the campsite, without having given up farming with organic Aubrac cows.
In the hamlet of la Taillade, they welcome children's stays (July/August) in a holiday camp centre.
