First snowflakes on the Domaine de la Taillade ! Yesterday 15 cm of snow decorated our Truyère valley.

The campsite and the cottages were asleep, motionless under a black and white filter.

It is true that the appearance of snow is becoming rarer and rarer with climate change and it will only make a brief visit, especially at La Taillade. It will stay longer on the lead of the Cantal or the Aubrac plateau.

Autumn at la Taillade, naturist campsite in Auvergne!

We took the last yurt apart and put it back together. The horses are ready for their transhumance to the Cantal highlands. The valley of the Truyère is now stained red.

 

This is how the Domaine de la Taillade slowly enters the autumn. The colours of our valley are particularly flamboyant this year. The beeches are turning red, the acorn-laden oaks are still tenaciously green, while the wild cherry trees stand out with their red streaks dotting the valley.

Far from the summer animation, la Taillade also reveals its charms in autumn by staying in the comfortable chalets. It is the occasion to come and listen to the deer's roar at dusk and early in the morning. You will undoubtedly have the chance to meet herds of hind and deer by taking our hiking trails.

Thus we are already preparing for the 2021 season, with the construction of an extension to our small restaurant. The creation of a warm space by the fireplace will be ideal to share a moment of conviviality.
